I hope that everyone here is doing well in their recovery. As I sit here and type this I can't help but to wonder why some of you have joined this forum. I thought it would be to get the support and information that you can't get anywhere else.

Apparently I am wrong. I'm not trying to be mean and ugly with my words, but I just don't get it. Why join something if your not going to be a part of it.

If there is something that is not here and you would like to see it here. Let me know. I will ...

Mexico decriminalizes small-scale drug possession

by The Associated Press

MEXICO CITY August 21, 2009, 07:49 am ET

Mexico decriminalized small amounts of marijuana, cocaine and heroin on Friday — a move that prosecutors say makes sense even in the midst of the government's grueling battle against drug traffickers.

Prosecutors said the new law sets ...

By that I mean, our dependency issues, coping

DRUG TESTS FOR UNEMPLOYMENT CHECKSWith states across the country feeling the effects of the economic crisis gripping the land, some legislators are engaging in the cheap politics of resentment as a supposed budget-cutting move. In at least six states, bills have been filed that would require people seeking public assistance and/or unemployment benefits to submit to random drug testing, with their benefits at stake.

In Arizona, Hawaii, Missouri, and Oklahoma, bills have been filed that ...

Well, today marks 1 week of being home from the hospital and I stopped painkillers yesterday. I am ran out and decided to not try and get more. I am due for a urine test this Thursday anyway and I would rather it come back clean than my counselor have to do all the extra paperwork with me being allowed to be on them.

Unfortunately, I feel weird about all of this. My husband goes back to work today and I am scared. I actually miss the hospital. They were so nice to me and took such ...

Hi Everyone,

I am Pam....one of your Forum Moderators if you don't already know that. I have gone "post happy" here today and have another issue we might want to address.

Being a recovering addict like all/or atleast most of us here, stress is a major problem for us. We are use to dealing with our stress by taking drugs. Even with our Methadone, we still go through times that we feel that we need more help to keep from freaking out at times. The first thing we think ...

Please don't worry about coming back on here to work before you are ready. Your body has gone through alot with the emergency surgery. We will be here when you get back. We are not going anywhere.
Please rest up.
I will be keeping you in my thoughts,

Hello. I am Dawn, Pam's friend. I brought a netbook to the hospital, hoping that Pam could get online herself, she's not yet well enough.

Yesterday afternoon, Pam was rushed to the hospital doubled over in pain. After a few hours of tests, they discovered that her appendix had ruptured requiring emergency surgery. The surgery went well, but a ruptured appendix is a nasty thing that comes with a high risk of infection.

As is expected, they're having a hard time managing her pain ...

I wanted to check in with everyone and see how your doing. I also wanted to tell you that you don't have to have a problem to be able to come on here and post. There has to be something that brought you here to this forum. What was it. I am curious to know.

How did you hear about the forum. Did you read about it on the website? ...
