| what r orange methadone tablets? they call them disketts where i am.it use to be that everyone was on discketes. the nurse poured water on them, to disolve them so you couldnt cheeck them, then added tang for flavor. they switched to the liwuid system that they say is easier on the staff and safer for patience due to correct dosaging. anyway, if you have a reason you cannot take liquid or u have 13 or more take home, are on OB, etc. then you get the disketss. what i have had a problem with is getting a dose increase. up to 125 was not a problem but now whenever i ask for an increase my counselor asks many many questions and made me make a doc apt just to go up 5 mg. havent aksed for a dose increase since ive been OBT. scared they would take itaway from me, as you have to have been aon a "stable" dose for a certain amount of time before they will give you OBT. anyway, im a military family memeber. tricare standard use to reimburse you for the clinic but no longer does. but they will pay if you want to get back on pain meds. wth? | |

- to me anything less than weekly for UAs doesn't make sense. it takes 3-4 days for cocaine to leave your system so they wouldn't catch any illicit drug use, which would make me feel like i wasn't getting the rewards for working as hard as i am to stay clean, when others could fake it.
YES! This is exactly what I was getting at. If you aren't tested but once a month or less than once a week, you can use and they would never know. Even though they are randomly suppose to test us, if you only come in once a month, twice a month or what ever, you get an idea of when it is time for a UA again. I know I am going to make some ppl angry saying this, but I think there is too much room for error there. Now, maybe in time after you get level increases for clinic compliance/clean UA's and such, you could go to less UA's but I think for the first 6-12 months at least you should have at a minimum weekly drug testing. But that is just my opinion and again, it's easy for me to say such things when I don't have to go that often to the clinic any more. why dont you have to go to the clinic anymore?

| kd200304 I do still go to the clinic, but I am eligible for once a month status so that is why I said I don't have to go as often to the clinic anymore. Glad to have you as a member BTW and if you need anything, please don't hesitate to let us know. | |

- Come on you guys! I see some of you actually did read what I had to say so lets hear about your experiences with this! We have got to start practicing speaking out about things that deal with our MMT. How are we ever going to speak out about the big things if we can't even speak about the smaller ones.
I know the majority of us have to pay quite a bit of money to go to the MMT clinic so let's hear about it............ reno nevada there are two clinics: the"non-profit" clinic I attend is 10.00 a day - the same as the for-profit clinic. Weekly is 70.00 an you get a break on monthy at 240.00 - The for profit clinic is also 10.00 per day and i didnt check weekly or monthly rates. At the time i made the call i was more concerned ith the quality of care. I'll check the weekly and monthly rates and repost.

| Hey there! Wanted to contribute some info from my neck of the woods...I go to a clinic in Southwest Virginia, and our fees have been increased yet again...for the third time this year. I pay 98 dollars a week, and since our takehomes must be paid for ahead of time (understandingly so) and I pick up every two weeks, so every other Thursday it's 196 dollars a pop. If you owe ANY fees at all (even 1 dose worth) they don't allow you to have your takehomes, ANY outstanding balance, albeit 5 dollars or 50, ultimately costs you any takehomes. The bad thing is, our clinic is very small and the pharmacist that pours our takeout bottles only comes one day a week...so if u owe a balance on the day she pours, you're out of luck till the next cycle...but that's another post entirely lol! Hope I've helped a little with my info! Love to all! | |

| I pay 70.00 week at either clinic I have attended in Asheville NC. I am still grateful that I am paying that a week and not a day. What I feel is the real shame in clinics is the way they feel they can treat us like "cattle herding" and/or like my story I shared with you all when I first came on. I am going to go to Rate your program or one of the more appropriate forums for a new issue or should I say an old issue with new points I want to discuss so look for my post as I would like all the feedback I can get. | |
