Many poll respondents acknowledge that there is a problem with heroin in the area.

Our online question: ``Blairsville Borough council recently voted to deny a variance that would have allowed a methadone clinic to open in the borough. What would you think about the opening of such a business in your community?''

43 percent (85 votes): Heroin is a big problem, and this would be a good way to address it.

32 percent (63): There are better places for such a facility.

26 percent (52): A clinic like this has no place in my community.


I wonder why if so many people support methadone treatment, the same town didn't welcome a methadone clinic?
