This clinic (VALHALLA PLACE CLINIC) finally has 2 windows in use for dosing and it wonderful. Having 2 windows has significantly reduced wait time in line to dose. I think it also allows the nurses to spend a little more time with a client if he/she needs it. They have also took a wall out in the room you enter as you come into the clinic. They installed a flat screen t.v., some nice chairs and are going to be showing informative programming related to methadone, suboxone, vivatril and more. This clinic was great to start and it just keeps getting better and better. They are looking to begin doing family groups and more therapy, not just meeting with a licensed drug and alcohol counselor, I mean a therapist such as licensed clinical social worker, psychologist. When I started last April (2009) I got #96, used to identify clients and call you to the window to dose (the #'s pretect your identity). They are now up to #285 or greater. UI am sure that not all assigned #'s are active, but those #'s show that they have been growing, and they have grown while still managing to improve the clinic.

Thank you for sharing about your clinic. It is good to hear about a clinic that really cares about the welfare of their patients.
Your clinic certainly sounds like a success

Thanks! Yes, this clinic has their act together. Recently they got a contract with Washington County, which the clinic is located in. This is great and means many things. One of these is that individuals living in Washington County will, if approved, be able to get a Rule 25. This means that the county will pay for the entire cost of MMT. This is such good news for so many people and I know that more people will get the help they need because of this. I believe it is our responsibility to do the right thing, ALWAYS. This will help spread the truth about MMT throughout the community in which we live. If we sell drugs around the clinic nobody will want a clinic in their back yard, and so on. If we want this method of treatment to be available, we must act responsibly.
