My name is Mike and i'm from Tennessee. After 12 years of a very bad opiate addiction to vicodin and percocet i finally got help because i had put my family in very bad debt and i was up to taking 20 pills a day.Two months ago i went to a methadone clinic and it saved my life.I am on 75mg right now and on the 25th of March which is tomorrow by the way i will be two months clean from pills.
I am very nervous however because right now the new head of the dept. of mental health who oversees the clinics are trying to get all our clinics shut down here in Tennessee!! i can't believe i finally got help now i have to deal with people like Mr. Varney who is the head of all this and the one trying to mess with our clinics.Everyone is writing letters right now to the legislature so its serious.I saw a woman collapse and cry at our clinic yesterday when she was told the news and it hurts me that this man does not realize methadone has saved our lives and he needs to leave it be.

As you might be aware,The Tennessee Department Of Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities has proposed significant changes to the rules that govern your treatment(Chapter #0940-05-42: Minimum Program Requirements For Non-Residential Opioid Treatment Program Facilities). The proposed rulemaking process is already underway.
